We’re a small, friendly club of mixed abilities and ages, joined together by our love of running.

Our annual race, the George Ogle Memorial Race takes place on Weds 23 May at 7.15pm. Online entries are now closed, but there will be some entry available on the night. Visit our George Ogle Memorial Race page for more information and to link to the online entry website. We have a new short hill section to add extra fun to the race in 2018!

Our new beginners course starts on 4 June and you are invited!  The eight-week course is for anyone totally new to running or who wants to get back into it after a long break. Visit our Beginners page for more information.

Summer running

Daylight training runs are now back!  As we love to train in all parts of the Derwent Valley around Rowlands Gill, don’t forget to check with us about where we will be meeting before heading off to each of our sessions. See our Where we meet and run for more information.

About us

We meet in Rowlands Gill and train in Gateshead’s beautiful Derwent Valley, part of the Land of Oak & Iron.

We have training session throughout the week, as well as regular social runs.

We are affiliated to England Athletics and our members enjoy running in road, trail, cross-country and fell races. Some of us do 5ks, some of us do marathons, some of us even get our kicks from ultras and triathlons.

New members are always welcome, whatever your ability. So what are you waiting for?
