We’re a small, friendly club of mixed abilities and ages, joined together by our love of running.

Thursday Radgie Run on tour!

On Thursday 13 October we will be meeting at the Keelman pub in Newburn for a head torch run towards Wylam, with a drink afterwards. It is a #runtalk kind of DVRC trip out, as part of England Athletic’s campaign to improve mental health through running. Distance 3-6.5 miles. If you are ‘run’ injured get your bike out. Don’t forget head torches and high-viz gear.

Meeting points

Our new regular winter meeting point for Tues, Weds and Thurs sessions is the car park in Derwent Park, off Burnopfield Road, NE39 1LG. (Down the hill from the chippy, next to the sand play area.) See Where we meet and run

Embrace the dark!

Its that time of year when we spend our evening sessions running in the dark.  For all our sessions it is recommended that you wear high-vis and reflective clothing/vests to be seen by traffic and other road users.  For our Thursday night sessions, a head torch is an absolute essential.

About us

We meet in Rowlands Gill and train in Gateshead’s beautiful Derwent Valley.

We have training session throughout the week, as well as regular social runs.

We are affiliated to England Athletics and our members enjoy running in road, trail, cross-country and fell races. Some of us do 5ks, some of us do marathons, some of us even get our kicks from ultras and triathlons.

New members are always welcome, whatever your ability. So what are you waiting for?
